The Secure Computing Forum, organised by Irish IT distributor
DataSolutions and sponsored by leading security company Check Point
Software Technologies, will take place on Thursday 7th March 2013.

Global experts will discuss how to implement a security strategy that
penetrates the entire organisation and provide advice to Irish
organisations on:
- Getting to grips with the latest cyber threats and the main challenges
for 2013
- The latest technologies to protect their business
- Data protection, compliance and password security
- How to build security into the business plan
- Addressing the security challenge of BYOD
- Building a security awareness culture
- Moving to the cloud securely

IT security attacks are becoming more sophisticated and are emanating
from an increasing number of sources, with mobile devices, social
networking and cloud computing continuing to grow within the

The biggest concerns with security are typically related to critical
infrastructure, monetary systems, intellectual property and private
records, although attackers target all types of information.

A new holistic security approach is required, which operates on
multiple, fully integrated levels combining technologies with a security
awareness culture. Through the Secure Computing Forum, attendees will
discover how to manage and address the increasing number of security

International speaker and entertainer, David Meade, from BBC's "The
David Meade Project", will be the master of ceremonies for the day. He
will be joined by Terry Greer-King, Managing Director, Check Point UK &
Ireland, who will take an historical and critical look at the past and
current state of IT security and why now is the time to change the way
we view IT security.

Dr Bob Griffin, chief architect, RSA, will also be in attendance to
discuss the learnings from the RSA security breach in 2011 and will
advise on how to handle an attack in progress and how best to clean up.

Carlos Gomez Gallego, director of product management for Aruba Networks,
will present on how to design and manage corporate networks to truly
embrace BYOD, while Irish Data Protection Commissioner, Billy Hawkes,
will examine the proposed changes to the data protection rules in the
EU. A number of other high profile speakers will be announced soon.

Attendees can also meet with all the experts at the Expert Bar or
arrange one-to-one consultations to get invaluable advice.

The event is being supported by leading IT vendors Check Point, RSA,
Symantec and Aruba Networks and security strategists from each of these
organisations will be present at the event.
