Code Club Launches across UK

Code Club the UK national network of volunteer led after school coding clubs for children aged 9 – 11, will announce the launch of Code Club World.

With over 800 Code Clubs in the UK in less than a year since the organisation launched at last years Founders Forum, Code Club World has been launched as a new open source global brand to give every child in the world the chance to learn to code.
The launch of Code Club World has been supported by industry heavyweights including Google, CodeAcademy, and Mozilla, with the first international Code Club World clubs set to launch in Luxembourg and Kiev.

Code Club World will operate separately to Code Club UK, and will allow volunteers to start their own Code Clubs and download projects for every school term, made available via Github. Code Club World launch with French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Ukrainian and Turkish with more to follow. 

The club launched last year with the support of Tim Berners Lee, Martha Lane Fox, Niklas Zenstrom and HRH The Duke of York, amongst others:
