Voucher Pages
Launches New Mobile Responsive Site to Address Changes in Consumer Shopping
Behaviour
Voucher Pages (www.voucherpages.ie), which provides
shoppers with a single location to source the largest choice of discounts for
products and services across Ireland, has today announced the launch of its newly designed mobile
responsive site.
The
new site enables shoppers using smartphones and tablets to easily access
Voucher Page coupons as it now adapts to whatever device or screen size it is
being viewed on.
Voucher Pages has launched its mobile responsive
site to address changes in consumer shopping behaviour. Irish consumers are now
using mobile devices to make purchasing decisions before they go shopping and
even while out shopping.
High smartphone penetration combined with
convenience and improved user search experience on mobile devices is changing
how consumers search for products and services, and ultimately what and who
they buy from.
Search using a mobile device is now exceeding
desktop search with a 140% increase in mobile searches over the past 18 months.
(Nielsen). In addition 18% of mobile searches are for coupons amongst cost
conscious Irish mobile users (Mobile Planet).
Speaking during the launch at NovaUCD, Ronan
Hickey, founder of Voucher Pages said, “We are continually striving to provide
the most user-friendly method for shoppers to access savings. Being mobile
responsive means that users of Voucher Pages can easily access a choice of
discount vouchers no matter what device they are on, be it a laptop, desktop,
tablet or smartphone. With the growing use of and demand for coupons among
mobile users in Ireland, Voucher Pages is expecting to significantly increase
its user base with this latest development.”
Providing a good mobile user experience can be
challenging for web designers and businesses due to the large selection of
mobile and tablet devices with different screen sizes. The new mobile
responsive web design from Voucher Pages adapts a webpage for the device it is
being viewed on so that there is no compromise on how a page looks or performs.
Hickey
added, “Shoppers now have access to
competitor offerings even while in-store, making it vital for retailers and other businesses to provide a good mobile
experience to potential customers.”
Voucher Pages, an
Enterprise Ireland client company, is located at NovaUCD, the Centre for New
Ventures and Entrepreneurs, at University College Dublin. The company was
established in 2011 by Ronan Hickey who has extensive
commercial experience covering product management, business development and
marketing. Ronan graduated from University College Dublin with
a BComm and an MBS (Marketing Management) degree.
Voucher Pages was one of 15 successful companies
awarded Enterprise Ireland Competitive Start-Up Funding in June.
Today’s announcement follows on from Voucher Pages’
launch of a new coupon platform in March which
allows users to view available discounted offers without needing to subscribe
or provide any personal details or even purchase online.
