Simply Dynamics, a leading provider of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, has implemented a €100,000 Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution and services for McSport, to improve its ecommerce capabilities and deliver greater real-time access to accurate customer and supplier data.
McSport is a specialist Irish sports retailer and has been supplying sports equipment to schools, clubs, gyms, leisure centres, teams, and the public around Ireland, for more than 33 years. With over 5,000 products across 60 brands it is a one stop shop for all sporting equipment from Archery to Yoga. Due to ongoing company growth, McSport moved to a new 15,000 sq. ft. premise in Sandyford, Dublin at the end of July 2014 and will be creating 5 new jobs in the areas of sales and ecommerce.
On the back of this growth and the increasing number of transactions the business is handling, Simply Dynamics was chosen to help streamline McSport’s ordering processes and ensure integration of its sales, financial and CRM functions. Simply Dynamics implemented its Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution which is providing faster and more efficient services across the business.
McSport now has access to real-time actionable data and a complete overview of the entire organisation, from stock ordering and delivery right through to accepting, fulfilling and tracking customer orders. This enables management to quickly identify trends and offer a more personalised service to its customers such as creating last minute promotions.
As the ecommerce site is fast becoming its key point of sale, McSport can now seamlessly and instantly feed information from the webshop into the ERP software. Microsoft Dynamics NAV has integrated with suppliers stock data so it can track stock levels and update this automatically in McSport’s online store. This ensures customers buying in bulk can receive the most up-to-date information on product availability and delivery times.
The Simply Dynamics solution also takes payment details from the online store and processes these automatically via its integration with Realex Payments. Shipping requirements are sent directly from the ERP system to the parcel delivery courier, DPD, removing any need to re-enter shipping data manually into the DPD systems and providing a faster delivery service for the customer.
