“I’m delighted to be ringing the opening bell for the NASDAQ during the truly unique event that is the Web Summit. One of Europe's biggest tech events, the Web Summit fittingly represents the vibrancy of the tech sector in Ireland. The Government is determined to secure the country's economic recovery by supporting the creation of jobs and one of the ways we will meet that challenge is by continuing to build on Ireland's success as a digital hub.”

Paddy Cosgrave, founder of the Web Summit said:

“It’s brilliant that NASDAQ have decided to join us once again. It’s one of the few times the Bell will be rung outsid the US this year and marks the fact that the Web Summit is Europe’s largest tech event.  It’s every startups dream to list on the NASDAQ and following in such companies as Facebook, Google and Microsoft.
