400,000 Reasons Clare Tourism Website Will Be Popular

A website dedicated to the promotion of tourism in County Clare has gone live as Ireland’s Banner County prepares to welcome more than 400,000 people for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann this August.

Clare Tourism’s new website, features details on where to stay, what to do and where to dine, and forms part an overall strategy of strengthening Clare’s reputation as a leading domestic and international tourist destination.

The website is dominated by the ‘Visit Clare' brand which was launched in early 2016 to showcase the key brand qualities of County Clare, including its landscapes and locations, its people and music.

“The ‘Visit Clare' brand is the spine of Clare Tourism’s marketing strategy and the new website is a welcome addition to the Clare Tourism proposition,” said Paul Madden, Chairperson of Clare Tourism.

He continued, “The yearlong programme that promotes Clare as a County of Culture is serving as a great boost to every corner of Clare, while the upcoming Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is already providing a national and international platform for the town of Ennis and the wider county. Clare Tourism, through, will ensure these gains are maintained and built on for the benefit of all of Clare and of course, visitors to the County.”

He added, “County Clare can proudly boast such world renowned tourist attractions as The Burren, Cliffs of Moher and Bunratty Castle. However, there is much more to Clare as the new website highlights. Visitors to the site can discover information on all aspects of the County from its heritage and history to its music, traditions and culture.”

“This website is an important vehicle for reaching out to potential visitors while we hope it will play a key role in spreading the benefits of Ennis hosting Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann to the entire County,” added Maureen Cleary, Clare Tourism. “The website however, will not replace other more traditional methods of promoting the local tourism sector such as the distribution of marketing brochures and maps, networking within the local sector, and Clare Tourism's presence at tourism promotion events throughout Ireland, Europe and in North America.”
