Womens Business Network @Fujitsu launched

Fujitsu Ireland has today launched the Women’s Business Network @ Fujitsu, a new initiative aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion amongst its workforce and associated work practices.

The network will provide the following supports to female Fujitsu Ireland employees.

· Encourage best leadership practices and facilitate input across all levels of the organisation

· Support individual career development goals

· Provide mentoring support among female colleagues

· Offer networking and broader partnership opportunities with relevant organisations

Over the next 12 months the network will host an inspiring line-up of speakers, themed events and a number of forums to discuss the challenges and issues facing women in business and celebrating those women who have inspired both within and outside of the technology sector. The network aims to get both women and men alike discussing the issues of working in male dominated industries and to help understand each other better and to strengthen and boost the professional relationships of Fujitsu Ireland members whilst unlocking the value that diversity presents.

Veronica Rahneberg, Sales Director Fujitsu Ireland commented; “This is a great initiative that will benefit not only female colleagues but also Fujitsu Ireland as a whole. It is our hope that this network will serve as a launch pad for our employees to build on their success to date and ultimately reach their full potential, influencing an affecting change at the highest levels. We see this initiative as not only benefiting Fujitsu Ireland but also the broader global Fujitsu network and ultimately our client partners.”

Speaking at the launch event today Fujitsu Ireland CEO Tony O’Malley said; “In 2015 we achieved the Business Working Responsible Mark, a mark which certifies excellence in responsible and sustainable business practices across the company operations. Today is another important milestone for Fujitsu Ireland and I look forward to working with the network and its members to ensure the groups potential is met in the future.”
