Boks Launched at Web Summit 2017

Boks – a new solution to receiving deliveries and packages at home – will launch at the Web Summit in Lisbon this week.

The new Irish invention is a ‘smart parcel hub’ that creates a reliable, secure and hassle-free way of receiving deliveries and arranging the collection of packages at any time from users’ homes.

Delivery drivers use Boks’ barcode scanning and video intercom technology to deliver and collect packages, making the delivery process more efficient.

Commenting ahead of the launch of Boks at the Web Summit, Founder and CEO Paddy Byrne said: “Growing up in a rural area, and having also lived in a city, I have experienced first-hand the inconvenience of having packages delivered and retuning unwanted online purchases.

“Almost everything about online shopping is now super convenient – vast choice, easy payment, and the flexibility to shop anywhere has made it an important part of our connected society.

“Our hectic lifestyles mean we cannot afford to waste precious time waiting at home for delivery drivers to arrive with our purchases and Boks is the solution to this problem! With Boks, you will never miss another delivery or have difficulty returning unwanted items again.”

Boks launches this week at this year’s Web Summit in Lisbon and aims to bring the product to market early next year.
