Following a trophy-laden playing career with Leinster, Connacht and Sale Sharks, former Irish international Bernard Jackman has held Head Coach roles in both France and now Wales, and is a well-respected rugby pundit with RTÉ

[A prominent figure in Irish rugby, in 2011 Bernard released his autobiography, Blue Blood and is a new contributor to rugby coverage with the Sunday Independent.]

As a much-travelled Irish expat currently employed in the UK, and a committed user of the CurrencyFair platform, Bernard believed in the value of the service offered and CurrencyFair’s point of difference for Bernard is clear:

I have been lucky enough to travel the world thanks to my passion for rugby. As someone working overseas and travelling regularly for rugby events, it is so important for me to be able to exchange money quickly and at really competitive rates. CurrencyFair have a simple yet sophisticated service for people who need to transfer money abroad. As a user of the service, I’m delighted to be joining CurrencyFair and am looking forward to playing a part in this Irish fintech success story.

Bernard will be providing the CurrencyFair community with his expert rugby insights and predictions on the upcoming Six Nations Championship games and be involved with a host of upcoming events in the course of his new venture with CurrencyFair.

On joining CurrencyFair as their Brand Ambassador, Chief Commercial Officer Sylvie McDermott said:
“Bernard brings his international reputation as an esteemed rugby player and coach to the CurrencyFair brand. His qualities of collaboration and being able to work as a team towards a common goal -  these match with the core values of CurrencyFair as a company.”
