Zinopy, the trusted name in Ireland for Information Security, today announces an investment of €1.5M as it unveils its new premises and a new Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Riverview Business Park, Dublin 12. The company announced in early 2017 plans to double its workforce with 50 new jobs over the next two years. The move to bigger offices comes as testament to Zinopy’s rapid growth, catering for its growing workforce and enabling significant expansion of its inSIght managed service offerings to businesses in the Republic of Ireland.
As part of the investment and to further validate Zinopy’s commitment to managed security services in Ireland, the company also announces a 3 year software deal within IBM to include QRadar, Watson Cognitive Computing, Vulnerability and Patch Management Software and access to the full range of IBM Security Software portfolio.
The €1.5M investment also includes the purchase of a new building and the development and fit-out of the Zinopy offices and SOC. The new SOC boasts first-class threat monitoring, risk assessment and incident response technologies from IBM and a team of highly experienced information security engineers and analysts who provide access to SOC services on a 24 x 7 basis. The team delivers a proactive and integrated approach to security and compliance requirements in the face of today’s sophisticated attacks.
The new SOC is the heart of Zinopy’s inSIght Security Intelligence Platform powered by IBM Security Information and Event Management technology (QRadar) and Machine Learning and Cognitive technologies (Watson). The new facility is designed to detect, monitor, assess and respond to potential security threats across the network, applications, web servers and connected devices, as well as better positioning Zinopy’s customers to be GDPR compliant.
Speaking about the launch of the SOC, John Ryan, CEO at Zinopy, said: “We have seen strong demand for our cybersecurity managed service offering in the context of a market where this is becoming an increasingly important issue for companies and boards. As a company we have made significant investments in People, Process and Technology, but these investments are now paying dividends and the level of service our Security Operations Centre deliver to our Customers is testament of that.”
Of the IBM partnership Ryan commented “As one of Ireland’s leading IBM Security partners we are delighted to use IBM’s best-in-class SIEM and Machine Learning and Cognitive technologies as the cornerstone of our inSIght Security Intelligence Platform. Access to this technology allows us to be flexible and agile to respond to the ever changing threat landscape and deliver an effective solution to our customers to proactively protect against security breaches.”
"In utilising IBM’s intelligence driven and integrated security technology platform to respond to cybersecurity incidents with greater accuracy and speed, Zinopy’s new state of the art Security Operations Centre compliments our enterprise security products and services”, said Aidan McHugh, Head of IBM Security, Ireland. "Zinopy is working together with IBM Security in Ireland and their new Centre is helping to deliver the right technology, processes and people proactively supporting customers to stay ahead of the ever evolving cybersecurity threat landscape"
